Rain in Summer

Image
It’s been a while since the last blog post I made, writing this while in the rhythm of the falling rains. It is summer season here in the Philippines, we started to feel the heat during the month of March. Summer but raining, I know right? Today is Sunday and the rain is still pouring  yesterday. It hasn’t stopped yet.  Before the rain happened, it was very, very hot, well, I don’t know if you guys can feel it too. Let me know if you have the same feeling. But still, I am very thankful that of rains because it gives us a cold environment, taking a pause from the heat, especially that we are  weekend days. The sky is gray, Mr. Sun is not showing and no heavy winds.  To be honest, my perspective of being productive was changed or let’s say updated. I used to describe it by accomplishing major tasks; going outside to buy something, cleaning, cooking, washing clothes and etc. But now, it has been two days today, I did nothing of those mentioned tasks. I haven’t taken a shower yet, honest t

International Cake Baking at Caro and Marie

Image
One of my bucket list has been checked already and that is to learn baking. Luckily, I got a chance to enroll at Caro and Marie for a one-day lesson of cake baking. During the class, the chef ask everybody who are first time in baking and I was like waiting for others to hands up. Thank God! I was not alone in the class. There's a guy who was a first timer  also, so then I raised my hand up too. A follow up question from the chef was, "Why did you choose baking?". I just said that it will be an additional skill for myself. For a change from being a software developer who is always on the computer. My one-day baking session is worth 2,000.00 pesos and all about International Cakes. I was patiently waiting for that baking session and finally it was scheduled on Monday. Luckily, it was a holiday. Our chef was Mr. Ronald ... He guided us through out the whole session and gave some tips not only on baking but also on the costing part. So we only baked 5 different flav

Have A Meal at Snack Yard

Image
Are you a pork diner? A pork lover? Or just wanna have a go at anything delectable? Whatever it is, you should try to visit and eat their best pork recipe at Snack Yard . It is situated at the 2nd floor of JCentre Mall, Mandaue City, alongside Jollibee. They have a ton of recipes, including burger, nachos, carbonara, and so on. We just attempted 2 pork main dishes, the Herbed Porkchop and Sour Cream Chops . We truly suggest the pork main dishes, they're an absolute must-to-eat if you'll get a chance eat there. With regards to atmosphere, it's simply straightforward, spotless and sufficient for an Instagram post ( hahahhaha ). You can eat inside or outside the cafeteria. I simply don't prefer to eat inside due to the smoke while they're cooking. Counter Area Sour Cream Chops - Php 100.00 Herbed Porkchop - Php 90.00   Outside Area Inside Area Have fun!

A Chill Night At The Monastery

Image
"Spontaneous evenings out are dependably the best ones", the group had a hard time to think where to go. Some wanted to play board games, drink espresso, karaoke, and so on., however then, we wind up a crisp night at The Monastery . It's located at the Veteran's Drive in Apas, Lahug, Cebu City. The place is more vivacious around evening time with its astonishing lights, acoustic tunes, reasonable sustenance and beverages.  Al Fresco   The two things that I adore the most about The Monastery are its chill vibe, which makes you have an inclination that you are comfortable, and the way that it is ideal for both night out and a fun night with companions.  For a sentimental night, I suggest sitting in the Al Fresco area, where you can appreciate a glass of wine while listening to an unwinding music playing and they do have live bands as well. The  Al Fresco  area is encompassed by charming shining tree
